Marketing Gold: Corporate World Riding The Winfrey Wave

Becoming OCF’s (Oprah Corporate Friends) so to speak with Oprah is where you want to be, especially during her final season. There has been plenty of news circulating about Oprah sticking Australia with a hefty bill to help make the upcoming Ultimate Australia Adventure happen. I’m not sure how many days Oprah is planning to tape during their visit just yet. I suspect at least a week, since the show site has not yet opened audience reservations for Australia. But, I think the Aussie businesses are sure to see a spike in revenue with hundreds and potentially thousands of guests from around the globe. Who wouldn’t want to par-take in regional treats, trinkets and tours when you’re on vacation? If I had the cash flow I would be flocking there myself!

Here’s a list of other OCF’s (Oprah Corporate Friends)

Surviving Your Multiple Family Member Tragic Deaths’

May 4, 2007 will be a day one couple will never forget. Their 3 children Kyle, Katie, Emma all died after a big rig slams into their family car. Lori and her mother were also in the car at the time. Oprah talks to the camera and says “It is possible no matter what you are facing right now, somehow you can keep going.” Lori and Chris Coble are talking to Oprah 3 years after the worst day of their life. Their kids were all under 6 years old.

How do you move forward?

  • The couple talks about making a pack and promised to never leave each other alone so the other person would not end their own life.
  • Chris says, they started going to counseling right away.
  • “Hold on to your love ones tight.”

What a blessing the couple gave birth to triples nearly one year after the accident. Get this they have 2 girls and 1 boy again! The couple also honors their first 3 children by giving each of their new triplets a middle name from a sibling that has past.

Surviving The Virgina Tech Shooting

The final segments include an interview with a young adult who survived the Virgina Tech Shootings. Colin Goddard was shot four times. Colin says, the sooner you can accept what happens the sooner you can move on. Living for 32 is a documentary on how Colin goes to gun shows and just buys guns.
