Ricky Martin is ready to reveal to the world his inner most thoughts about his life and his sexuality. Beside promoting his book on Oprah, the hot latin pop singer talks about being gay and his twin boys. Sadly, for many years Ricky says he felt his emotions were evil. He says he felt as he was not enough. Oprah points out to her viewers that feeling is universal. Everyone feels feel “I’m not good enough.”  Oprah says, “I think if everybody who’s gay would come out, it would change the world!” The audiences applauds as Ricky agrees.

Ricky is parenting his two twin toddlers, and I think a lot of his coming out had to do with them. In his book he writes, “I want to open my heart to them fully and absolutely so that in the future they will never be afraid to do the same.”

Marketing Gold: Corporate World Riding The Winfrey Wave

Becoming OCF’s (Oprah Corporate Friends) so to speak with Oprah is where you want to be, especially during her final season. There has been plenty of news circulating about Oprah sticking Australia with a hefty bill to help make the upcoming Ultimate Australia Adventure happen. I’m not sure how many days Oprah is planning to tape during their visit just yet. I suspect at least a week, since the show site has not yet opened audience reservations for Australia. But, I think the Aussie businesses are sure to see a spike in revenue with hundreds and potentially thousands of guests from around the globe. Who wouldn’t want to par-take in regional treats, trinkets and tours when you’re on vacation? If I had the cash flow I would be flocking there myself!

Here’s a list of other OCF’s (Oprah Corporate Friends)

Oprah talks to the camera and says “It is possible no matter what you are facing right now, somehow you can keep going.” Lori and Chris Coble are talking to Oprah 3 years after the worst day of their life. Their kids were all under 6 years old.

How do you move forward?

  • The couple talks about making a pack and promised to never leave each other alone so the other person would not end their own life.
  • Chris says, they started going to counseling right away.
  • “Hold on to your love ones tight.”

What a blessing the couple gave birth to triples nearly one year after the accident. Get this they have 2 girls and 1 boy again! The couple also honors their first 3 children by giving each of their new triplets a middle name from a sibling that has past.

Oprah lands an exclusive interview with Lisa Marie Presley. They talk in England without a studio audience about Michael Jackson and her famous father Elvis.

Lisa and Michael were married for 1.5 years and she did not have contact with him for a decade before his death. Although, Lisa is very guarded she does share a few intimate details.

Oprah asks the questions we all wanted to know.

  • The marriage union between Lisa and Michael was true love not a PR stunt.
  • Lisa says she never saw Michael abuse any children in her presence.
  • Lisa is trying to make sense of why she had to go through her fathers death and Michael’s. She wonders what is the higher power trying to teach her. It was painful the first time and then she says she had to go through it again.
  • Lisa says, Michael want to have kids with her but she was cautious.
  • She explains during the relationship with Michael she experienced her highest highs and lowest lows.
  • She also shares at the end of their marriage she felt Michael was taking drugs.

Jenny McCarthy tells Lady O about her Playboy shoot in 1993. It’s LOL!!!!

I have always loved funny lady Jenny McCarthy and from this show I love how she tells it like it is about her relationship with Jim Carey. Jenny talks about the line from the hit 90’s chick flick Jerry Maguire, “You complete me.”  She says, you are in trouble if you are looking for someone outside of yourself to complete you. Oprah agrees that line messed a lot women up!

A U.S. best-selling author Terry McMillian known for her book titled Waiting to Exhale is releasing the sequel Getting To Happy. On Oprah she and her gay ex-husband talk about their relationship. Terry says she finally forgives her ex-husband Jonathan. But for several years she did harbor anger. In case you didn’t know Jonathan was Terry’s inspiration for her book Stella Got Her Groove Back.

“The return makes one love the farewell.”

    ~Alfred de Musset

I’m sure I feel like many Oprah fans who are already hoping for a BIG return from the talk show legend after the completion of her Farewell Season (September 2011.) Although, there are over 100 shows yet to be taped in the final season, I’m hoping, wishing and praying the queen of daytime television will fill a time slot or two on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN.) But until then I will enjoy the ride! Read the rest of this entry »
